It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hey guys, Sphinx here. I'm really sorry for not being a active admin for this group. I haven't really been doing my job as one, and I apologize to you all. It's mostly because I'm tied up with life at the moment (jobs, college, living places...etc) and secondly because my love for the GGG isn't as strong as it used to be. It's still there, for sure, but fandom doesn't really excite me that much anymore.

I will be keeping an eye on the club. I also apologize if I don't answer your questions/comments right away. It's amazing to see how much this club has grown since the start, though! Keep it up, you guys rock.

I don't often comment mostly because everyone usually says what I"m going to say but I think today I get the privilege of commenting first.
I don't see a reason for you to apologize,
I'm sure most of us already understood that you are a very busy person these days.
You're working, you have college, you've established your own style,
All understandable and none are excuses.
There's no need to apologize,
not even if you're love for GGG is shrinking a bit.
Let's face it,
people change, THINGS change.
I used to love the big comfy couch, but I don't like it as much anymore.
It's the way things are.
But I feel you are doing the best job that you can and I appreciate whatever effort and time you put into doing this.

Aw, Lilly. C: You're such a sweetheart. I'd love to meet you in person one day, always encouraging others. You're really something. Totally brightened my day. Thank you, I really do appreciate it. I just, in all honesty, can't wait to go back to college. My life started there, I lived there for nearly ten months then was plucked out of that environment, one that I really loved. So, it's literally like my life has been put on pause for three months...and I'm just itching to get back to it. I miss the campus, school...not to mention all my friends are from that area and are still there or really far away. I actually drove to BG and back one day just to visit the campus and a few friends (a four hour drive back and forth total).

I dunno. And my job is really lousy, lousier than the one I had at the zoo. I partially regret letting the zoo job go because I was being paid to be an artist (although it wasn't that much). And this new job isn't so bad, I don't hate it, but it's, well, lousy also. That's life, I guess. I work night shift sometimes and when I come home everyone is in bed. I just never get to see anyone...D: It makes me feel pretty lonely.

No, thank you. You guys are awesome. I just can't wait for this summer to be over. :/

It's understandable.
I miss my college too.
(Not that I'd rather stay one HOT summer there but I DO miss it)
I suppose being the same age (Or roughly the same age) kinda makes it easier for me (and maybe some of your other fans) to just get you right now.
I was looking for a summer job too and FAILED!
I'm sorry your job is lousy,
but It'll get better.
It has to.
As they say,
'when everything's seems to be going wrong, then they can only get better'
I was home for three weeks by myself cuz my baby sister and mother had work and school.
I had nothing but my kitty cat to keep me company.
Now I stay up late and my sister stays up even later.
So while my mom is at work my sister is sleeping.
I figure the only way to get company around here is to stay up late and watch tv with my sister and mother.

(Though I'm not a big fan of the tele...)

So yes, I understand.
The job, the lonliness, I even understand why you had to quit.
WE ARE YOUNG ADULTS THAT HAVE EXPENSES TOO!!
I have a school job and it's not terrible...
but I don't enjoy it.
It's a desk job.
the ONE job I never wanted EVER!
but I get paid and I can afford school stuff.
So what can I do?
Just work when it's time for me to go back.
Work, put my best foot forward and hope that in the future, I'll get a better one. One I'll enjoy.
